| The night of the Brexit vote (hard to believe it was just two days ago), I stayed up trolling the internet to get some word on the vote. Social media was no help at all with comments such as, "I don't bloody believe it." "It is over and has just begun. Now what is next?" So I turned to someone who I knew would have a straight up clear concise direct answer. I went to YouTube to Stephen Molyneux (1) His reaction did indeed answer my question as how did Britain vote. I then went on my social media page and just had to give a shout out to the British people. I was then asked how or why I could think Brexit to be a good moment in history. I decided to answer the question here so I could list my research. |
The short of the answer is Britain voted to take back their sovereignty in my view. However, I am very aware that their are those in mourning at this time, thinking that they have given up their sovereignty and are so remorseful and regretful that a petition is has well over 2.1 million signatures at the time of this writing. (2) Cameron stepped down to the shock even horror of some vowing to help make the transition as smooth as possible when just last week or so he was saying that just because the people voted out if they would vote out would not mean Britain would actually leave the EU as this vote is merely a recommendation basically as far as James Cameron was concerned. He still had leeway to do what he thought best. However, with 17 million people voting to leave the EU, it seems that Cameron thought it best to step down. However, with stating he would take part in the transitioning out of the EU, he will still be part of the process for approximately another two years the estimated time for the actual exit to take effect. And for those who voted to stay for many of them their reason to vote stay was also one in which they felt Britain did indeed have sovereignty while under the EU's economic rule. They are just a part of the 2.1 and growing number of people who are calling for a new vote. The other part of the group are surprisingly, people who voted to leave who are surprised their vote counted and are regretting how they voted. My mind just cannot compute that. Why vote, if you think your vote will not count and why would one not vote their conviction with conviction?
Last week George Sorros predicted (or threatened ) war would erupt of the Brexit succeeded. He also accurately predicted "Black Friday" as a result of the Brexit success. This week after the vote the global stock market took a major hit of close to 840 billion world wide being lost to investors, yet Sorros came on top making a profit.
The reactionary crash was to be expected and so is a tumultuous period of adjustment within the market system over the next several months up to the next two to five years. It is normal in such periods of major revolutionary change.
Since 1973, the UK has been a member of the EU, that is quite along relationship. And as with any relationship that is not empowering, nurturing, which is abusive or nearly so, or is exploitative as which seems the accusations have been made to be so against the EU towards the UK, well then such relationships are best left to move on to greener pastures.
It is natural when leaving an unhealthy relationship, to have a bit of shock and horror at the reality that now one is responsible even more for one's own self and for fear to take hold. It is also natural for Stockholm Syndrome to hang over like an avalanche and regret like a cloak while the "old lover's" aka "abuser's" voice is whispering in the wind, "You are nothing without me. You will never amount to anything. No one will have any part of you. You will not succeed. You will be back...and when you do come back, it will be on my terms because -You. Are. Mine!"
People of Britain, you have a clean and clear slate to work with. Possibilities are yours. Politicians who voted to leave, please do not rest from your hard work for all too long and do not think you have the luxury to rest on your laurels. The people are scared and panicking. And the EU those who think that the EU is the savior of all Europe and want the United States of Europe, will not ever let this topic rest. As diligent you have been over the years to bring Thursday, June 23, 2016, the UK's Independence Day to pass, that is how diligent they will be in trying to re enslave the UK once again, most likely thinking they are doing their best by their fellow citizens. (ah -hum)
Today's youth know little about sovereignty pre -2000. What they know is global identity under governments structured on global corporate trade treaties. The paradigm has changed drastically. We only have managed to slow down the logical projectory. So much more will have to be done if we are to change the direction of the path our future generations are heading towards as far as economic sovereignty.
I have a bit more to write and to list my research links. First a nap.
